Lemonade Party

I hosted a Lemonade Party last night for some wonderful women in my life.  I tried something different and had what I called "A Girls Night Out with a Cause", the cause being the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.  I sent out the invites not knowing really how my friends would react - and I found out I have some wonderful caring and giving friends!

We raised more than I had hoped for, all going to childhood cancer projects and had a great time in doing so.  I can't thank those of you who supported me with this evening enough - it meant a lot to me to try something different and have it be so well received.  You girls are great!!

I had plenty of lemonade on hand along with a lot of chocolate.  So much so I was worried my guests would go home with in a sugar coma!
I used a water goblet and a sundae cup to display my cake pops
Lots of cookies
 and Mini Cupcakes!

I added a few extra touches,

But we can't forget about the Pink Lemonade,

My neighbor lent me some beautiful pitchers to use for the evening!
So I dedicated a separate table to Pink!

The sign above the table is a favorite quote from Audrey Hepburn that I made up on my computer, painted a mat pink and added some doilies and framed in a simple black frame from Ikea.

I have to remember to always drizzle my Oreo truffles with some sort of colored chocolate, otherwise they come out looking like a plate of rabbit turds!  They certainly don't look too appetizing in this picture, good thing they taste better than they looked.

I made a few more chalk board signs out of those Dollar Tree trays I used in last weeks Lemonade Post.

Thank you to all my neighbors and friends who  made this evening a successful party!   Including my boys who helped me clean and who are now enjoying the left overs!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, all of your comments and support means so much to me!
I am posting my party to several blog parties to extend the fun!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  2. What a beautiful party for such a worthy cause!!! You killed me with that "rabbit turds" thing, though! SO funny!!! I think people would enjoy the rabbit turds just the same! :-) I love that you did a separate pink table, too. Very cute! Everything looks just lovely, and I am impressed with your skill in creating those chalkboards. I am just not very patient with a paint can! :-) The quote on the board of the last photo is priceless!!! I hope you're having a good weekend. Take care, and congratulations on the successful fund raising party!
