Easter Tablescape -Bunny Ears!

Welcome to my Easter Table!
The bunnies have joined us for this year's Easter celebrations.
I love these little plates that just have the bunny ears peeking over the edge.
I bought these on clearance after last Easter.

Here is another bunny that had to get into the action.
But I don't mind - this one is offering Dove chocolate!
I did purchase some new clear glass plates that have an interesting bubble edge to them.
I picked up some flat branch willows at my favorite local store, Paper Twigs.
added some tulips and baby's breath for my centerpiece.
Right now I am working on my Lenten promises, so its off to set up for my church's fish fry for tomorrow night.

I hope you are having fun getting ready for your Easter Celebration.

Thanks for stopping by!
Ann

Spring Tablescape with Hyacinths

I'm celebrating the season with a Spring Tablescape,
Although, the season doesn't really want to celebrate here, just yet. We still had some snow coming down!
No Hyacinths blooming around here, so I had to buy my own spring at Trader Joe's!
and fake it some more with my little grape hyacinth tins!
I used some polka dot placemats - for some reason polka dots remind me of spring.
Mixing patterns is always fun, so I used some checked napkins.

Now, if we could just get Mother Nature to do her thing and warm things up around here,
then it would really feel like spring!

I hope the start of your spring is going well.

Thanks for stopping by,
Ann

St. Patrick's Day -B'gosh and Begorrah! it's Shamrocks!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
B'gosh and Begorrah! We are among the shamrocks at our table.
St. Patrick's Day has always been a fun day at our house,
not because we are Irish, because we aren't!
But, we celebrate anyway because it is my birthday!!

I've added some shamrock's  - which means young clover - I figured if I called them shamrock's I might feel just as young!
And who is that hiding among the shamrocks?
That bunny is making an early appearance.
I hope you have some fun celebrating St. Patrick's Day.
May the luck of the Irish be with you!

Thanks for stopping by,
Ann

Today is Barbie's Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Barbie!
She looks pretty good for 58, doesn't she?
Barbie and I are the same age, born only about a week apart.
Call me jealous, but I think she has had some "plastic" surgery over the years!?!
Everyone has varying opinions about this iconic doll.  I am a Barbie girl at heart.  All the girls in our neighborhood would get together and play Barbie's all day long.  We often made her clothes,  or furniture and cars out of boxes, we got very creative.   I'm not even sure if there was such a thing as a Barbie DreamHouse back then.  To us Barbie was just fun!!

When I grew up I had the pleasure of working for Mattel Toys for many years as a retail service representative and was fortunate enough to be able to work with their trade services department at many of their trade shows.   When I retired two years ago, my boss made those fun champagne flutes for my retirement dinner!

I hope you enjoyed this fun little birthday tribute to a real doll!
