Hayrides and Pumpkin Patches Tablescape

Hayrides and Pumpkin Patches are my two favorite fall excursions!
This tablescape pays homage to them both.
When I saw these trucks at Target - I knew right away one was coming home with me!
How cute does he look all filled with mini pumpkins?!
We were headed to a corn maize that night with a group of friends,
so I was inspired to set
this table as a little pumpkin patch complete with some hay bales for the hayride.
When I went through my stash of plates, I was surprised I did not have a single plate with pumpkins on it!!!  Of course that prompted a trip to Pier 1 Imports for the salad plates with the assorted pumpkins and gourds.  The little leaf garland I had set the color palette.
I pulled out some very old  striped placemats and layered the textured cream colored mats with them.
I had bought the amber glasses years ago at World Market when I first started tablescaping.
I just love this time of year, so it this was a fun table to set.
We had a blast on our hayride to the corn maize!
I hope you are able to get out and pick some pumpkins or enjoy a hayride.

Easing into Fall

I am easing into fall this year, as you will see from my tablescape!
I have seen a lot of beautiful full blown, pumpkin filled fall tables around blogland in the last two weeks.  While they are gorgeous, and I love fall - I am just am not feeling it yet.
It has been an unusual late August and Early September.  While the tempuratures feel a lot like fall, everything is still very green around here.
Luckily I had clipped some of these different Hydrangea blooms a couple weeks ago and let them dry out in my garage, because a lot of our plants are still in full bloom.
I mixed some of the dried pieces with some faux fall foliage in a simple white pitcher
for my centerpiece.
A simple plate stack of white and light brown or fawn colored plates top the textured weaved place mats.
I brought in even more textures with the burlap napkins and the basket weave brims on the white plates as well.
We have been doing a lot of work on the yard outside,  putting in some steps and a small patio with a fire pit.  My husband is doing all of the heavy work,  I have done some planting since we had no flower beds or landscaping at all.  We are trying to complete this soon so that we can enjoy some nice fall fires in the crisp autumn evenings.  So, until today I had not taken the time to pull out all of my fall decor.
Now that I have started to ease into fall, I will be working on the rest of the house with fall touches as well.

Prayers to all of you who have had to endure hardships with the hurricanes and flooding.  My heart goes out to all who have been touched by these devastating events.

I hope Autumn brings much better weather and a calmness across the nation.
Wishing you all a wonderful peaceful fall.

Thanks for  stopping by,
Ann
