About Me

Hi, I am Ann and I will try to let you in on who I am; but I still have a hard time figuring that out sometimes!

I like to think of myself as still evolving.  I have a wonderful husband of 36 years named Tom -he is my best friend.   We have been blessed with three great kids and now, two grandsons. I love them all dearly.  When my kids were growing up we were busy with dance, hockey, baseball, lacrosse and  I loved every minute of it!  Now they are all grown up and I really miss those days.  They are all wonderfully supportive of my ventures and I appreciate them for that!!

I retired from my long time place of employment, Mattel (toys)  - every girl's dream job to grow up and still get to play with Barbie!  Even when I was little I was always making clothes for my dolls or furniture out of a box.  My mother was a fabulously talented sewer and I inherited her love for fabric.  In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and to dishes too!  I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.  Other things I love:  my dog, chocolate, walking, ice cream - oh just  make that walking my dog to get chocolate ice cream - that should cover it - oh no - golf - I took up golf and love it!   We recently bought a fixer upper home on a small lake and have been working hard to make it into our home.  I am a paper crafter and half my time is spent creating cards & favors, the other half is volunteering at my church in or my community.  My blog is my creative outlet and I hope you enjoy it!

  2. I found your site vis-a-vis Pinterest and it's great! I wanted to look more closely at the golf-themed table design but haven't been able to find it so far on your blog. Help, please. It's really very creative. MMR

I did the golf table for Father's Day in 2012. Go to my blog archive for 2012 and look under June and you should see the link to Father's Day Table that would take you to see the details! I hope this helps :)
